How We Work — Muse Marketing
How We Work

From first conversation to fully embedded.

Most agencies hand you a contract and a contact. Muse hands you a team that gets to know your business the way an employee would — then builds a marketing program that actually reflects it. Here is exactly how that happens.

No templates. No assumptions

Every engagement starts from scratch. We learn your business before we recommend a single tactic.

You always know where things stand

Deliverables tracked in your client dashboard. Monthly reports. Regular touchpoints. No guessing what is happening.

The Muse Team. Always

The people you meet at the start are the people doing the work. That does not change six months in.

The Starting Point

Discovery Call

30 minutes. No pitch deck. No pressure. Just an honest conversation about whether Muse is the right fit for your business.

The discovery call is not a sales call. It is a two-way conversation. We want to understand your business, your goals, and where your marketing is falling short right now. You want to understand who we are, how we work, and whether we are the right team for what you need.

We will ask about your current marketing situation, who your buyers are, what has worked and what has not, and what success looks like for you. You should ask us anything — how we have handled similar businesses, what we would do differently than what you have tried before, what we think you actually need.

If it is a fit, we will tell you. If it is not, we will tell you that too. We do not take on clients we cannot serve well — it is not good for them and it is not good for us.

The Blueprint

Custom Proposal

A proposal built around what your business actually needs — not a package you picked from a list.

After the discovery call, we put together a proposal scoped specifically to your situation. It covers what we recommend, why we recommend it, what it will include, and what it will take to get started. You will not get a generic tier sheet with checkboxes — you will get a plan that reflects what we learned about your business in the discovery conversation.

If something in the proposal does not make sense for where you are right now, we talk about it. The proposal is a starting point for a conversation, not a take-it-or-leave-it document. We would rather get it right than get it signed quickly.

Once the proposal is agreed on, we move immediately into onboarding. There is no long gap between signing and starting — we want the momentum of the decision to carry into the first weeks of the engagement.

The Deep Dive

Business Onboarding

This is where Muse does the work that most agencies skip entirely — and it is the reason our programs perform the way they do.

Before we write a single word of copy, design a single graphic, or run a single ad, we learn your business. Not a surface-level overview — a deep, structured immersion into everything that makes your company what it is.

We want to know your products or services inside and out. Who your buyers are and how they think. What objections come up in sales conversations. Who your competitors are and how you are different. What you have tried before and why it did or did not work. What your team is proud of and what they wish more people knew about.

The goal of this process is to market like we have worked there for years. That level of understanding does not happen by reading your website. It happens because we ask the right questions, listen carefully, and do not stop until we have a clear picture of what makes your business worth choosing.

What we dig into during onboarding
  • Your products and services — what you sell, how it works, what problems it solves, and what makes it different
  • Your buyers — who makes the purchasing decision, what they care about, how they research
  • Your competitive landscape — who you compete with and where you genuinely win
  • Your brand voice and story — how you want to sound and what you want to be known for
  • Your current marketing — what is already in place, what has worked, what has not
  • Your goals — what success looks like at 6 months, 12 months, and beyond
The Partnership

Embedded Execution

This is where the program runs. Strategy, deliverables, reporting, and a team that functions like part of yours.

Once the program is live, Muse operates as a consistent, embedded part of your marketing function. Deliverables are tracked in your client dashboard — you have full visibility into what has been completed, what is in progress, and what is coming next. Nothing disappears into a black box.

Every month, you receive a report that covers what was delivered, what the results looked like, and what the plan is for the month ahead. This is not a vanity metrics report dressed up to look impressive — it is a clear, honest look at what is working and what we are adjusting.

We also meet with you regularly to make sure the content and strategy stay aligned with where your business is going. Markets shift, priorities change, new opportunities come up — we want to know about those things as they happen, not six months after the fact.

The tools that keep everything organized.

From day one, every client is set up with the same infrastructure. You will know exactly where to find things, how to communicate with the team, and where to send assets. No chasing emails. No version confusion. Just a clean, organized system that works.

Project Management Dashboard

Every deliverable, deadline, and status update lives here. You have full access to your client dashboard at all times — so you always know exactly where things stand without having to ask.

Slack

Real-time communication with the Muse team. Questions, quick approvals, file shares, and day-to-day conversation all happen in a dedicated channel set up specifically for your account.

OneDrive

Shared file storage for photography, brand assets, approved content, and reference documents. Everything in one organized location — accessible to your team and ours at any time.

Consistent communication. No surprises.

A steady rhythm of meetings, reporting, and dashboard access — so the program never goes quiet and you never have to wonder what is happening.
All engagement levels

Monthly touchpoint meeting

Every client has a scheduled monthly meeting with the Muse team. We review what was delivered, align on upcoming content and strategy, gather your input, and flag anything that needs your attention. This is a working session, not a status update.

All engagement levels

Monthly performance report

A clear, honest report every month covering what was delivered, what the results looked like, and what we are adjusting for the month ahead. If something is not working, we say so.

Full Growth clients

Always available

For clients on the full-scale growth program, Muse is always available. You have direct access to the team whenever you need it.

All engagement levels

Client dashboard access

Your project management dashboard is always live and always up to date. Transparency is built into how we operate, not offered on request.

Partnerships work both ways.

The clients who get the most from Muse are the ones who lean in. Here is what we ask of you so the work performs the way it should.

Be available for onboarding

The deep dive at the start of an engagement requires your time and your candor. The more you give us upfront, the better everything that follows will be.

Respond to approvals promptly

Content and creative submitted for approval is considered approved and ready to publish if no feedback is received within 7 business days.

Share what is happening in your business

New projects, announcements, personnel changes, market shifts — we need to know about these things to keep the marketing relevant.

Provide access and assets on time

Delays caused by late credentials, missing files, or slow asset delivery do not pause the billing period.

Give honest feedback

If something is not right, tell us directly. We would rather have the hard conversation early than deliver a program that misses the mark.

Trust the process

Marketing takes time to build momentum. The clients who see the best results are the ones who commit to the program.

Ready to see how this works for your business?

The discovery call is step one. 30 minutes, no pitch, no pressure — just an honest conversation about whether Muse is the right fit and what working together would look like.
